This safari is designed for travelers who have limited time but wish to experience Tanzania’s most famous wildlife destinations. Combining Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and either Tarangire or Lake Manyara National Park, this itinerary offers an unforgettable safari adventure in just four days.
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara National Park
Upon arrival, our guide will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation and transfer you to either Tarangire National Park or Lake Manyara National Park, depending on the season and safari preferences.
Tarangire National Park is famous for its giant baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and large elephant herds. The park provides excellent opportunities to observe wildlife including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and many bird species.
Lake Manyara National Park is known for its beautiful groundwater forests, tree-climbing lions, flamingos, hippos, and rich birdlife. The park offers stunning scenery and excellent photographic opportunities.
After an exciting game drive, continue to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Highlands and the surrounding landscapes.
The Serengeti is famous for its endless plains, abundant wildlife, and the Great Migration. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and numerous antelope species.
An optional visit to the historic Olduvai Gorge can be arranged en route, offering insight into one of the world’s most important archaeological discoveries.
Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.
Day 3 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Begin the day with an early morning game drive, one of the best times to witness wildlife activity and enjoy a spectacular Serengeti sunrise.
After brunch, continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, often referred to as one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders. The crater supports an incredible concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.
Arrive at your accommodation near the crater rim in time to enjoy beautiful sunset views.
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro.
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater floor offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Africa and is home to a remarkable variety of animals and bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing with a final game drive.
Later, ascend the crater and return to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
