Although the safari includes only one night in Serengeti, it offers an excellent opportunity to explore both Serengeti National Park and the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater within a short timeframe.
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Along the way, travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands and stop at the crater rim to enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater.
As you enter the Serengeti, you'll discover the endless plains that make this park one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Home to the Great Migration, the Serengeti hosts vast populations of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and numerous predators including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro
Begin the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active and the sunrise over the Serengeti creates unforgettable scenery.
After returning for brunch, continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Known as one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.
The crater’s diverse habitats include open grasslands, forests, wetlands, and a beautiful soda lake, creating ideal conditions for wildlife throughout the year.
Arrive at Ngorongoro in the evening and enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 3 – Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. The crater floor offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in Tanzania, with chances to see a remarkable variety of animals in a stunning natural setting.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing with a short afternoon game drive.
Later, ascend the crater and begin your return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
